Mark Haddon - A Spot of Bother:

BOOK REVIEW, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

At the time of writing this I'm still reading the book, but the main plot is clear and I'm far enough into it to be rightfully able to make up an opinion of it.

A Spot of Bother revolves around the life of an elderly man, George, and his children, Jamie and Katie.
One morning George wakes up with a pain in his side, rushing out of bed and into the bathroom he finds a purple mark on his hip, the skin around is crusted and dry, after treating it with several different ointments he goes to see the doctor.
He is then told that it is just Eczema, but George believes it to be cancer, as the eczema spreads he slowly starts to lose his mind.

Meanwhile his wife is having an affair with one of his previous business partners and is torn between the love for her husband and the affection she feels for her lover.

Katie, his daughter is marrying Ray, a man her parents do not approve of, George thinks he has "Strangler's hands", while she's not sure why she's marrying him her fathers life starts to fall apart, and she now has to juggle her son, Jacob, her father and Ray.

Jamie, George's son has just broken up with his partner and is devastated, he then seeks his partners Ex in the hopes of learning how to get his partner back.

The book is well written, but not for people that can't stand reading long books, it has some pretty complicated language and is then of course, not for people who are not very good at English.

So, it's a very good book, I like it.
However, that said,
it kind of... Excludes some people by being a "liberal" book, bringing up certain themes that may offend you if you're a left-wing conservatist moron.
Also, SPOILER AHEAD:.... Eli Vance dies in Ep2.

Good book, read it.
